A series of new forms will simplify the process of gaining consent to affect someone else’s land. Instead of a single Notice of work affecting other land form, five new forms have been introduced. The new forms will make it easier to explicitly identify the type of work to be undertaken, which land will be affected, and how.
The new system is sure to be welcomed by the building industry, which had previously reported much confusion over the requirements for work affecting other land. In addition, builders will now be responsible for managing this stage of projects, which will help to streamline processes even further.
